William Sweet

William is an offensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons who aspires to pivot into the venture capital industry following his NFL career. William has also played for the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Dallas Cowboys.
Prior to his NFL career, William was a 4-year starter at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a B.A. in Communications. As a student at UNC, William created a cold compression sleeve, which he & his team presented at the Carolina Challenge Pitch Party & received 1st Prize. Additionally, William was the inaugural recipient of the Floyd B. McKissick Sr. award, which is awarded to an African American male student with exemplary character who’s advocated on behalf of other students and the Carolina community.
During his time at UNC, William held an internship position with Fox Ventures where he worked with operations and created a new system to better monitor metrics within the company. William also served as UNC football’s representative for the NCAA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee & was on the ACC’s Academic Honor Roll.
