 Kenwood Elementary School
Past Projects Technology Laboratory: In 2006, a much needed technology overhaul was granted by Fox Development Corporation to Kenwood Elementary School through the donation of $30,000 in room renovations, new tablet computers, two smart boards, and a digital camera. The makeover and upgrade turn a non-functioning, under-used computer room into a high-tech learning center for 400 Kenwood students.

Courtyard Makeover: When FDC Chairman, Peter Fox, heard that the plan for one of Kenwood's two outdoor courtyards was asphalt, he felt other options should be explored – options that enhanced learning, not just reduced upkeep. A renovation was planned, and Fox Development Corporation donated the funding, materials, labor, and time to completely renovate the Kenwood Elementary School courtyard from a weed-infested area into an urban oasis for children. Pavers hand painted by the school's students were incorporated by Parkland College – which helped spearhead the makeover – as the focal point of the design. |
